Free Sounds?

Does anyone know how i can get some free sounds to make lockon movies with.:helpsmilie: Can i ask where? I am trying to add in sounds instead of using the ingame sounds. I have always wanted to get the Sony Pictures Sound Effects Volumes 1-10 set, but never will. ( it is like 500$!) Is there a good free database, or how should i go about this?

http://www.sounddogs.com is by far the best i have found. They have heaps and heaps of sounds from creaking doors to atom bombs. Right click on the 'mp3' tag next to the sound you want and 'save target as'. I think what you download is only a preview but you can either loop or just adjust volumes where necessary.

Sure, you can use sounddogs.com and download those mp3's for free, but the quality is absolute crap on 85% of the sounds, UNLESS you buy them.

 

There is another way of course.... record sounds from movies, thats what i do... download airshow movies and so on and record jet sounds.... get explosions from movies or other games. :)
