Will a X45 profile work with the X52?

I'm just wondering if I can give my X45 profile to my friend who just bought an X52. Will the Saitek Profile Editor open it and let you download it to the X52???

 

I know he has more buttons and stuff, but will it work??

My understanding is- no. The buttons are labeled differently in addition to being more numerous & unique. But- try one out and see what happens. They are both .dat

Well, he's getting it for his kids for XMas and he's 5 hours away from me, so I can't really try it out. Plus he's a total noob. I just wanted to give it to him to try. Maybe that's all I can do.

No they dont.

 

I just upgraded to 45 to the 52 and im having to make new ones, the profiler wouldnt open my old ones.
