DaveRindner Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 So I have this weird issue with my X-56 in both 1.5.6 and 2.X versions of DCS. When I was defining controls and assigning shortcuts to stick and throttle, the Stick column apeared on Left side of throttle. Everything was OK. However, for reasons unknown, after Restart (of windows) and/or shutdown-turn ON, order in which Stick and Throttle appear in DCS Controls flips with THrottle to the left of Stick. THis wrecks assignments, and I find myself having to redo all of them. Only to have them flip back to Stick left of Throttle , and forcing me to redo assignments again. I attempted to save a profile for each case, however loading the profile does not change the assignments. Weird issue, that I have no clue as to approach. I have tried unplugging replugging the devices in order, then in reverse order. Swapping USB ports/ But nothing works. DCS would report Throttle to left of Stick, and later on after a restart or hard ON/OFF , have them swap places again. Does anyone have a clue as to what this is?
RePhil Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 I am not good at this but if this helps on mine there are three column 1st x-56 is the stick 2nd is T-rudder 3rd is x-56 throttle if you hover over the top of the column it will say whats what so make sure you are putting them i correct place. If this does not help well I had good intentions [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Window 10, i9-9900,2080TI, 32GB ram Puma Pro Flight Trainer, 2 x 1TB WB SSD NVMe HP Reverb
Ranma13 Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 (edited) What are the device names in USB Game Controllers in the Control Panel? DCS doesn't remember bindings by position, it remembers it by the device ID. Having the game controllers in a different order between boots shouldn't matter, they may be listed differently in the controls settings, but the binding should still be the same. You can check your binding file by going into C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input, finding the module that you're interested in, and checking to see if your device shows up as a diff.lua file.
