The actual situation with the cleared canopy is a real immersion killer. Could we hope to see recovered a good canopy reflection just to feel to be inside a plexiglassed canopy, and not with our face "in the air" as we feel now?

The actual situation with the cleared canopy is a real immersion killer. Could we hope to see recovered a good canopy reflection just to feel to be inside a plexiglassed canopy, and not with our face "in the air" as we feel now?

 

Canopy and hud glass, are a general issue of current 2.1 due to deferred shading engine that interpret transparent material totally differently than the previous standard engine... I think ED have to advise module makers how to parameter their material to:

- Add some opacity to attenuate external light

- Manage reflexion effect with alpha properly without creating border effets with standard engine.

With deferred shading the sun does not blend nicely, (HDR),

and everything looks "nor right"... So I switched it off,

and without it the canopies turn even more inexistent, like air,

they used to be better in older 2.0.xx versions....
