warthogmadman987 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 i am not sure what you are asking, but i am assuming you want the text to disapeer off to this side, not just fade away, correct? To do so you need to mess around with the Video FX and use the time meter at the bottom. If at the beginning you want the text front a center, you leave the border you see and leave a marker at 0 seconds. If you then want it to leave the screen 2 seconds later you put a marker at 2 seconds on the meter, and move your border off the part you dont want to see anymore. Remember, depending on where you place the veiwing screen compared to the screen you had go out the corner, it leaves in that direction. This may be a little confusing, you should contact me via something so we can talk, i can help you learn some basics if you need it. I highly recommend though that you get the Vegas 6 manual and read it. Also check out free Vegas tutorials, those help, just search yahoo! or google.
sp0nge Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 Not zoom off the side, zoom right into the text and then disappear, like you're going right through and past it :) An example of what i'm trying to achieve the the text "Let the fight begin" in speed. It enlarges and then disappears I'll check out the manual, thanks warthog. Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sp0nge Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 Cross effect in transitions without anything after it is what i'm looking for. But I would rather it not fade away in the process. EDIT: Found a way to crank the fade range to 0... Thanks Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
LawnDart Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Look up pan/crop frames and use "keyframes" to tell Vegas when to zoom and how fast. For a simple zoom in, you set two keyframes up (one far out and one grossly zoomed into the text) you want and then the keyframes determine when on the timeline you want the zoom to begin and end within the clip. The time between the two "keyframes" determine the quickness based on the length of the clip your using the pan/crop with.
