oho Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 It seems that the HUD steering indicator is bugged so that we have to use the HSI. Will this be addressed or did I miss something? Is there a possibility in F10 map to only see my plane and the nav-route and waypoints, as it would be propably when using a Full functional MFD like in the A10?
feefifofum Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I replied in your other post, but for here as well: This is not a bug, the HUD steering indicator is directing you to your programmed flight path, not the steerpoint. If you are not trying to fly the pre-programmed course to the waypoint the line on the ADI/HUD will not be helpful, as they direct you first to the course-line, then the steerpoint once on course. The downward tick mark on the HUD compass tape, or the #2 needle on the HSI as you've noted, will indicate the direct path to your selected steerpoint. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
fitness88 Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 The HSI is a great NAV tool p. 41: fly bearing pointer direct to airfield steer to course deviation indicator to get on require course for that steerpoint, indicator will eventually line up with course select line which needs to be lined up with bearing pointer then your on course.
