Fishermen Mission (4 350 kg sling load)

In Fishermen mission, after many attempts and many rope/helicopter broken, I finally achieved to lift off the 4 350 kg tubes.

 

I am a bit surprised because the flight manual by Belsimtek says:

 

Mi-8s were equipped with efficient mast-mounted vibration dampers, weather radar, a sling load system (in place of the earlier hinge-pendulum system) with a 3 ton lifting capacity,

Fishermen? Very strange, pipes should be in another mission.

What ever. It's a challenge. Like there were cases IRL when helicopters lifted and transported cargos in extreme conditions.

Yes Laivynas, the 4 350 kg pipes are in the Mission #11 "Fishermen":

 

Takeoff: Maykop-Khanskaya. 125.0 MHz.

 

Transport external cargo from the subbase to the R-360.

On the way back to pick up the fishing group.

 

Communication in the region - Krasnodar region. 126.0 MHz.

Landing: Maykop-Khanskaya.

 

Approximate duration of the mission - 60 minutes.

I raised the point because more than 1 ton above the limit is huge, but please note that it's not specific to your campaign.

 

Anyway I'm still happy with your campaign :thumbup:

You are right. It was my issue. I changed cargo to Oiltank with 3000 kg weight.

I'm confused, should there now be 3000kg oiltanks or 4350kg pipes? I just played the mission (but I reverted my DCS to 1.5.6) and there were pipes:

 

 

It was possible to do it with no problem though (just don't fly too fast, otherwise the rope may tear). Also, it's simply needed to take your time.

 

 

What I missed was something like a "mission accomplished" in the end. It only said that I can turn off the engine. So I did this and I still waited for a confirmation of the success of the mission. It's just helpful to be sure that you finished the mission.

Too bad...I liked the 4350 kg ;-) Just don't fly faster than 150 km/h and don't make fast movements.

Good point. However, it's also not realistic that I'm flying an Mi-8 at all ;-)
