Majinbot Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 A significant contract for a large batch of T-90 tanks has been signed between Baghdad and Russian manufacturer Uralvagonzavod. Many Iraqis M1A1 have been destroyed by ISIS anti-tank missiles. One last year, destroyed south of Mosul by a Russian Kornet. Outside Aleppo instead a missile direct hit on a Syrian T-90, with a BGM-71 TOW missile did not cause significant damage. Kenan Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Same result had the missile hit the M1A1 at the same spot (upper part of the dome). Now..had the missile hit the tracks (regardless of type of tank), it would have probably been a different outcome.. Emu Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Logic suggests that a 46t tank can't be as well armoured as a 65-70t tank.
