Hi all,

Does any one have any good tips for using CV1 for actual missions? For example:

-how to use checklists?

-Chart usage?

-Writing down info (Receiving a 9 line from JTAC)

-Writing down/retrieving frequencies

-Quickly typing chat messages

I'd prefer not to have to keep 'lifting the lid' / peeking down the nose all the time

Look forward for to hopefully hearing some inventive tips from the front line

Checklists/Charts, can all be loaded into the kneeboard. Just takes a little prep.

Apart from that, the old knose peek is my method with a notepad on my desk.

My first suggestion would be Voice Attack, which I think is compulsory for VR users IMHO.

Say for a 9-line you could either press a button or have a voice command to activate the Dictation Mode recording, then read off the 9-line info from the radio subtitles as received. Then you can play back the 9-line info as required later on. By recording it yourself you also could omit some info that you didn't need later/was obvious etc.

Again chat messages could all be typed and sent by VA. As stated checklists and freqs etc are easy to add to your current Kneeboard.

But yeah VA is pretty much only limited by your imagination, I have some awesome stuff sorted on mine that really m,akes using VR a breeze llike fully programmed functions and button macros etc, all by voice command or a press of a button on my DSD box.
