Mule Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Hi. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to make the rotary switches in the cockpit such as the master mode rotary to work as an axis? I have a rotary switch box. It has 6 rotary switches and works fine in other DCS modules. I want to use this in the Viggen but in the control panel, it won't give me the option to use it in this way. I hope that makes sense? Fighter Pilot Podcast.

some1 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 encoder For encoders, you need rotate left/right shortcuts, not an axis. Some have been added in the updates, but many are still missing, Only devs can add them. Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

I did have some luck with some third party software to emulate the keys but this all seemed like to much hassle. It's not a problem. I fly this in VR and use the mouse to rotate the switches. Just would have been nice to use the switches I have. Having far too much fun with this incredible sim to worry about these little details anyway. Maybe something for the future. Thanks for all the replies. Cheers!! Fighter Pilot Podcast.

I got this 6 switch rotary usb box from desktopaviator.com many moons ago. It works great for all my sim stuff. DCS, P3D etc. Radio tuning is a breeze with the Huey for example.
