Not new performance, It'll be same 120 but more jam/chaff ressistant.

Another thing is that they promised AFM for all weapons, m.b. AMRAAM won't lose energy so fast.

Oh no. On 14th of May at Sviaz-Expocom 2007 Chizh's told me - "AFM will have the weapons which Ka 50 uses... *not* all..."

Given the new kinematic data we got on the sidewinder, it may well get new performance. Who knows?

Yes. They promised AFM for all weapons ... but NOT IN BS!

In a discussion on this board, a few months ago, Chizh said they were planning on getting WAFM into BS if time etc allowed - does this now mean that isn't the case?

Given the loooong time since FC, I was hoping this was going to get in ... great shame - for me A2A is just arcady until they do.

Fortunatly for mig and Su drivers in this game the AMRAAM is not lethal enough for that to give any particular advantage and you have time to react after an AMRAAM goes active.

Yeah, it should go active when it's 2 meters away from aircraft. Then you would be very happy I guess :)

WAFM won't change that. It will change it -very- little because of altered/more realistic kinematics, but the big thing to make it 'less arcady' it correct sensor and counter-measure modeling.

Don't think so...:)

Well, not you but him. Because that day he'll be "T3H R0CK1N6 L0LZOR" in his F-15, equipped with railguns.

Well now

F-15 tactics.

1. Learn the radar.

2. Learn Basic fighter Manuvers.

3. Learn to assume.

4. Use TWS and kill 3 bandits in one engagement.

5. After a 120 hits a mig finish him off with the cannon.

As far as all of LOMACS missiles befor Flaming Clifs I had no problem killing 3 or 4 bandits in TWS at 20 nautical miles. With the known forum data and leaking of information the 120s effectivness has been cut to the point of %50.

So now in Flaming Cliffs programing one must use 3 to 4 120s to splash one Bandit. I have been called "SPAM T" by some one and it just reinforces the 120s discrimination in LOMAC programing. My reply to the oponant was "Take it up with ED!" people complained when the 120 was modled some what good and now they complain that us EAGLE DRIVERS shoot to many 120s. Its like saying that when im behind a mig you only get one bullet to hit your oponant; get real.

What ever the programers were thinking the discrimination of the 120 has hurt some people and forced the to fly migs. From my personal experience I still love the way my 120s leave a vapor trail just befor impacting a SU33 or a overpowerd Mig 29.

As far as the IR-ets, ect. dump flares and they will miss, especialy at longer ranges.

With all known info on the jets and missiles in LOMAC the Migs should be WAXING us EAGLE DRIVERS 12 to 1 with no exceptions!

I have encountered many good pilots and we all have spent alot of time and money on this game. Our comunity is growing and becoming an Icon in the flight Sim world. So lets hope for the best in Black Shark and pray that Flight Sim competitors dont "Out program" LOMAC and make it a thing of the past.

See you in your G suit.

Your missing the point

Your a good pilot, but your missing the point.

If one shoots all of there missiles in 3 to 4 seconds thats just bad tactics. Think about it at the point of release the bandits just needs to avoid the kill zone from the release point. So SPAMing is actualy pointless and better for the oponant becase if lets say I "SPAM" all of my 120s at 20nm and you get out of the way, im winchester and you got some fire power left in you.

Its just the fact that 3 or 4 seconds seems like a life time in Air Combat, right?

I have seen some of the "Best" pilots "Spam" missiles and in no shape or form do I consider it rude or do I "Pee my pants"

My flight procedures are proven effective but not perfict by any way shape or form.

I feel that once a pilot realises that hes not the "Top Gun" he wont just go for the kill but place him self in a posistion of advantage and will live to fly another day.

I think we discussed this to death before ... WAFM will stop the stupidity of an R-77 from 100' have the same range as an AMRAAM fired from a F-15 at 40k' ... this is arcady.

Yep, it would be great to have WAFM AND sensor correct modelling AND counter-measure modelling ... but for me WAFM is the biggy.

But its VERY DISAPPOINTING to read that it is being dropped ... again.

Yes, I've noticed it too. To kill a bandit I need no more than 2 R77. In the same situation I'm firing 4 AIM-120C and don't know if it's enough...
