At this moment I have some DCS euro's to spend before 14-9-2017.

I didn't bought the Viggen because the delay of the map.

I used the search to find something about the map. I know it is delayed. But I couldn't find any official info on the map

Is the map stil in develoment? I don't mind waiting for a couple of months. But of the map comes 6+months I will use the discount for something else.

Maybe a developer could shed some light on this?

AFAIK the map is not actively developed atm, because Heatblur (like other 3rd party devs) are waiting for the map tools. ED is still in the process of putting them together before they want to hand them over to the 3rd party map developers.

So it will definately take more than 6 months for the Viggen map to become available.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Thank you for the quick reply.

Maybe I can spend some on the harrier.

The Viggen is still a great module (the best IMHO), even without a map for its own (which the Harrier doesn't have neither) ;)

I know, but the Harrier fits the Nevada and Caucacus map (realistic conflict zone).

I start reading the manual of the Viggen if I can find it. So I can make my decision.

Bought the Normandy map to make up for the lack of a Baltic Map / Caucasus 2.5 with collidable trees, but sadly performance drops so much at low altitudes that it's unplayable, and flying a Viggen in Nevada feels rather dumb.

You can make a somewhat plausible scenario involving Red Flag.

Swedish Grippens have been at serval red flags now. You could always make theoretical scenario where they sent some AJS-37's over in the 90's.
