Rex854Warrior Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 (edited) Hello, The AN/ASG-29 has built-in-test circuits and a switch to activate them, wich is located on the bottom right of the sight controls panel, this is supposed, when activated, to and i quote "The sight check procedure provide BIT check to determine go/no-go status of each mode of operation by correct reticle display indications", this quote along with all the necessary information about the BIT circuits and what they do is present in the manual (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1946809/) section 1 page 41 to 46 and section 2 page 7 to 9. I truely suck at explaining so i stuck to the manual instead :D. These are not present in the module atm, while not being very important, it doesn't seem that hard to do and adds a touch of immersion and realism. Regards, Rex. Rex854Warrior Posted September 8, 2017 Author Posted September 8, 2017 (edited) Ok, now i have a little bit more time to explain how this switch works and what it does :D. So lets begin, The sight bit test switch is loacated on the bottom right of the sight controls panel, https://imgur.com/a/I6Drf This switch is supposed to activate the Built-in-test (BIT) circuits when in the up position (Bit-2), middle position off and down Bit-1, https://imgur.com/a/kVVP6 Just info on the symbology. And the first page of the sight check section, telling what do the BIT circuits do and in which sight mode, https://imgur.com/a/QwBGG And here are some sketches of those tests, https://imgur.com/a/dACX8 That is only for aircrafts of group Nb°1 (triangle with a one in it) And for the second group, https://imgur.com/a/opp2H That covers the subject, as i said, i cannot explain very well so i pretty much screened the manual so you guys didn't have to bother downloading it then searching the correct page in this 600ish page lecture ^^. As i said before, not very important but would still be nice to see in game :). Regards, Rex. Edited September 11, 2017 by Rex854Warrior pictures wouldn't load :/ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Rex854Warrior Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 Nobody cares ? :( I do understand this is quite a small and not so important feature but it will be usefull when failures are implemented correctly. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
cicimicikiller Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 It seems that nobody cares about long reported bugs like RWR and CBU pattern, so don't get your hopes high. Smash 1-1 | Hawk
ED Team cofcorpse Posted September 13, 2017 ED Team Posted September 13, 2017 We do care. I'm sorry that I don't reply. I noted this issue. Sure we will add sight bit test. As for other issues, some of them are not easy to deal with. 1
