Telefunken Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 (edited) I've just received 3 27" 1920*1080 monitors and would like to know how to position them properly. They are AOC AG272FCX models, which feature a 1800mm radius curved screen. Should the monitors be lined up in one "curved plane" or the outer ones angled inwards by how many default degrees? What is the default viewing/camera angle? Can one change the angle and projection? Should I use 1 camera or 3 camera to minimize distortion? Also, how to mount them? I've looked into 3 screen desk stands, like Newstar PFMA-D700D3, but these seem for inline setup, which probably is unsuitable for curved screens. Ideally, they should be on a high stand to be right above the Helios touch screen, approximately at eye level. If I add two more, in L-L-L L-_-L ( _ is the Helios display) configuration, what would that bring? I'd like to glance down at the ground a little while in forwards vision ... The whole array is powered by nVidia 1080 graphics cards with the double SLI bridge. nVidia surround is set up, but all the 3 displays + 1 accessory need to be hooked up to the upper card. The setup as explained here https://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/surround/system-requirements doesn't work. I can set it up, but it won't survive a reboot. It says 2D Surround-SLI is enabled, but how can I make sure PS: I've found the 40" screen unsatisfactory, not due to its size, but to its 19:10 aspect ratio which offered too little peripheral vision. Also, the DP 1.2 didn't allow it to be driven at 60 Hz. Thanks. VZ_342 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I have my 3 screens angled...center is centered, left and right are angled about 20-30 degrees. I just eyeballed it until things looked right with TrNOIR re: moving my head and moving the aircraft. I also built a riser for the desk, because my eye level was in the top third of the screen, and I wanted it just below the center of the screens. The riser is about 5" tall, and is large enough to hold all 3 monitors securely and at the angle I'd set.
