Olddog Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Any chance, or plans, of getting some WW2 allied artillery? I know the blue side has mortars but I was thinking more along something like a M1A1 155 howitzer. First introduced in 1942 and in some parts of the world, still in service today.
Olddog Posted September 13, 2017 Author Posted September 13, 2017 Thanks cthulhu68 . I guess I missed that on the list. That should work. Saw this on wiki: "Earned its nickname "Doorknocker" thanks to the 155mm cannon's ability to pierce seven feet of concrete at ranges up to 2,000 yards (1,830 meters). The vehicle was also dubbed "King Kong" by American operators due to the raw power of its gun".
cthulhu68 Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 When adding them to a mission I was a little surprised that the German artillery only has a range of a mile or so but I guess that was par for the course back then.

Germans should have artillery that can reach 6 to 7.5 miles or 11km to 12km max range with infantry assault guns easily reaching over 4000 meters. Allies should have some weapons that also reach close to those distances.
crcr7 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 On the German side "Nebelwerfers" came in different rocket diameter and tube configurations. From what I've read they were very common and effective in Normandy. I think this was one of the common types. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/15_cm_Nebelwerfer_41
