Can't Change Difficulty Settings In A-10 Campaign

I've just started the A-10 campaign, and would like to fly it with "Ace" difficulty settings. I cannot seem to change the options in the campaign. (Well, I can change the G-effects, but that's it.)

 

Is it possible to change these settings?

You have to "declassify" (unlock) the mission to change some settings--and the difficulty level is one of them. The canned campaigns and missions use: eagle . Declassify and save with a new name.

 

Alternatively, when you don't know the password, you can assign your own and use it to declassify. CTRL-SHIFT-C forces the classification screen. Either enter a password or do what I do and leave it blank. Click OKAY. Then press CTRL-SHIFT-D and enter the new password (or if you left it empty, don't enter anything) and click OKAY to declassify. Make whatever changes you want to make and save.
