There is some conflicting information in the manual regarding route speeds.

A: Here it says that that a set speed will apply until a target waypoint:

attachment.php?attachmentid=170700&stc=1&d=1508017696

B: And here it says that the set speed will apply until the first waypoint after the target waypoint:

attachment.php?attachmentid=170701&stc=1&d=1508017696

And confusingly, the supplied graphic actually shows both variants, which both cannot be correct at the same time:

attachment.php?attachmentid=170702&stc=1&d=1508017696

So what should be the correct implementation of route speeds?

Also, how would you change the route speed to the first waypoint B1?

My interpretation:

*Waypoint (Bx), no mach number (M) entered

*Ingresspoint (Bx), M entered

Put another way, if you don't add a M to a Bx it's an ordinary waypoint, if you do it's an ingresspoint.

A sett M will last until one of three possibilities:

1) next ingresspoint (i.e. new M)

2) last target point (Mx). Last Mx is included, economic speed from next Bx after that. A little bit unclear about what speed between Mx and next Bx, I assume M if reading the text correctly (target point is the last point M is "applied" to, so the speed will last until next Bx, graphics (A) a little bit wrong then)

3) If none of the above, M will last until landing base.

That is exactly my point, graphic/text A and B are contradictory.

Or, with A as an example, one can interpret it in such way that the leg M6-B7 can be for slowing down at the discretion of the pilot. Keep high speed untill on safe distance or in cover from M6, then slow down to economic speed before B7. Hard to visualize in a simple drawing.

Can only speculate.
