It will always keep recentering the view no matter what, even if you bind it to something else. I reassigned Num5 to keypad 5 on the Warthog's CDU and in addition to pressing CDU keypad 5, the view gets recentered. I tried with the Ka-50, same problem. It looks like the issue isn't module specific. Also please note that I fly in VR. The problem might not be present in non VR mode.
