I bought this model of the F6F-6 Hellcat:

I'm also trying to animate the cockpit.

I need help with the mirror:

In the "description.lua" file I modified the original line of the P51D by writing:

{"F6F5_Glass_Mirrors", 0, "Glass_Mirrors", true};

Unfortunately, it does not work, the mirror remains of the color of the textures.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you.

Thanks cdpkobra.

Now works.

I just have a little mystery to discover.

When I take the plane the mirror does not work but if I have another F6F5 in the mission and change the plane, it will work.

However, I was satisfied, it was a step forward.

I thank you again for the advice.

inside the "liveries" folder you find the "description.lua" file.

livery =

{

..........................................................

..........................................................

{"name of your plane", 0, "mirrors", true};

}

I'm digging up an old topic...

I tried to model two mirrors for a SeaHawk, (3ds max) I think I followed the instructions above,

but as soon as I select the material : mirror in the texture controller, the mirror becomes transparent and I see through it and not behind it...

I tried reversing the normals, same result.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
