WildBillKelsoe Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 AI doesnt engage targets I locked and lased with Karen. Any idea how to have them target specific targets? AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
Lixma 06 Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 I think it's intentional. According to the manual our target has to be locked with EOS or RADAR (which we don't have) or with visually padlocking your target. I don't think lasing counts as it doesn't actually 'lock' on to anything. It might be a useful addition to have a radio call like "Attack target at this location" where the location is wherever the laser is pointing.
Weta43 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 It's a daylight aircraft though, and in daylight the pilot of the other aircraft doesn't know where you have your laser pointed... Cheers.
Lixma 06 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 I know, I was just imagining using the laser as a shorthand way of saying "Wingman, attack this particular target", something like visual recon mode.
