Demo not working?

I am new to this game (Lock -On Modern Combat) and this forum so any help would be appreciated.

I purchased this game online and it should be here tomarow. I downloaded the demo and it plays fine other than I cant figure out how to shoot any of my weapons. I configured my joystic for the game and made sure that there were button/ keys assigned for the shoot and switch weapons key bindings. The game runs fine no graphic problems. Also when flying the A10 the MFD on the right of the cockpit did not seem to be functioning. All my other keys/ imput devices seem to be working. I can raise landing gear and so on. Just cant get a shot off.

there's a lot of things that can be going on since you are coming into this sim new. First, i just wanted to say welcome!

 

Alright getting down to business. I feel a little cheerful today so i'm going to try to help u as much as possible. One of the main things you have to do is to learn the game. Once you are patched up to the latest (1.12a) then go through the training tracks and manual to learn the game. Some training tracks won't work since you are running on the latest version, no problem, all the stock training missions are coverted to video and hosted on this site http://bvr.jpn.org/lockon/index_e.html as well as this site http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=50&lang=en&PHPSESSID=3048d90f67bcec582e9e212f1cadc6bd

This will answer several of the questions u have above like how to shoot a missile...etc. But just to give u a taste, i'll just give u a short summary. If you can see your target, go to boresight (press 4), move the circle with these keys (;,./) and lock on (tab), depending on the missile type- if it is in range, a "la" will appear and fire. This is for russian planes, american planes work similar but not exactly, keep that in mind. Especially since western planes use enter to fire missile, not space- thats for guns.

 

As i was saying, you have to learn the aspects of the game in order to enjoy it. Like you probably can't get your gears down because you are going way too fast. Your TV for the A-10 doesn't work because you probably didn't turn it on (such as load up with mavs and go to AG mode (7). It's also probably because you have easy-radar on- turn that off...etc.

 

Always be sure to go through the faq and use the search function to learn more.

Thanks got the demo to work! Once I figured out to hit "7" and turn on my ground weapons I was killing like I was born inside of a A10 cockpit. I was able to find a patch V1.02 where can I find 1.12a ? Thanks for your help and information. I cant wait to instal the full game tommarow.

this is how the order of the game goes

1.00 original

1.02 patch for the original

 

1.1 Flaming Cliffs (addon) - if you install this, you don't need 1.02. But you still need the original.

1.12a patch for fc (you can find this at lockon.ru)

i wonder how many people i actually dragged into this sim. With the amount of sales revenues i generate for Ed, they should give me black shark for free lol. Or at least make me a beta-tester. :D

Thanks again I dont have flaming coast so 1.02 is all I need until I buy FC that is. What brought me to this game was a artical about Black Shark. Can't wait till its out.
