exray Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 I see why none of the preview videos were done in the 1.5 branch... Anyway, all other aircraft work great but in cockpit view from the harrier is very poor for FPS. Down below 30 frames with plenty of chop. Everything is smooth from external views so it's something in the pit. Tried turning off the MFDs to see if it would help, but no joy. 1 i7-4790k @ 4.4GHZ, 32GB G. epolta Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Agreed! Uninstalled 1.5. In VR it's terrible. I'll wait till I'm worthy of a 2.3 or 2.5 release myself. 1.5 is a waste of time 1
rinao0o Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Same, everything in external view is fine but fps goes to shit in cockpit
GregP Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Worth noting that the Instant Action takeoff mission starts from Senaki-Kolki, which appears to be a framerate killer. When I created my own takeoff mission from Sochi, my starting FPS jumped from 30 (at Senaki) to 65 (at Sochi).

Right, the poor FPS for me occur only in certain situations (overflying certain towns in certain directions), but the point is that if I do the same thing in other aircraft the FPS are much better. Redglyph Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 What you describe is not lag, it's low framerate, there's already another long thread on that. System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
Zeus67 Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Explanation for FPS drop: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3305607&postcount=2 "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."
