Nightwolf Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 I'm no expert on the controls on the tomcat, but it seems to me that for a lot of people who have a limited number of hotas controls that it would be very useful to be able to have a completely different set of controls bound when riding RIO than riding pilot because of the different priorities back there. Is this going to happen? If so, how? Different control sets in the settings dropdown, or just different settings inside the F-14 area. In a different area, is it going to be possible in multiplayer to lock your aircraft so you don't have random people hopping into your plane? This may already be addressed in other planes like the Gazelle and the L-39, I don't know. "Fighter pilots have ice in their veins. They don't have emotions. They think, anticipate. They know that fear and other concerns cloud your mind from what's going on and what you should be involved in." -Buzz Aldrin
QuiGon Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Seperate controls are pretty much guaranteed. The Huey already has seperate controls for Pilot and Gunner. They are listed like two different aircraft in the controls settings. It wouldn't work otherwise as the controlls are totally different. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
1stBEAST Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 and in regarding "locking your plane" if someone wants to enter your plane there is a message popup and you can approve or decline. so this is already in. :-)
Nightwolf Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 Ok cool thanks to both of you I haven't had any experience with multicrew stuff in DCS this cleared up my questions! Cobra847 Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Yes, seperate control schemes are implemented. E.g. in the RIO seat, your joystick controls the HCU. In the pilot seat; the control stick. Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
