DCS-Turkey Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 (edited) I realise this has been a problem before but I couldn't find anything within previous threads that offered a solution (other than "buy trackir") I'm using FaceTrackNoIR running the FreeTrack 2.1 protocol. I have a 3 point infared headset attachment, the same system I'm sure you're all familiar with. I never used to have this problem but have only recently come back to the game with the release of the Harrier. As soon as I look more than 90 degress up (as indicated in facetrack), the view orientation flips. This is before the in game 90 degrees up as if I turn off head tracking and use the mouse look (LAlt+C) I can look straight up. I have a video illustrating the problem: https://youtu.be/p3IyDLI6uq0 Everything in facetrack is telling me I should be looking 90 degrees up in game but it does not. Does anyone know a fix for this problem? Edited December 5, 2017 by DCS-Turkey
DCS-Turkey Posted December 5, 2017 Author Posted December 5, 2017 Hi again all, Can disregard this now. I found a suggestion on another site that recommended switching to Opentrack which I've done and the problem is solved. If you're having the same problem, I recommend switching to opentrack as this appears to be a problem within FaceTrackNoIR. I'm using Opentrack 2.3.9 Thanks for looking. 2
VZ_342 Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Thank you, I was beginning to think I’d gone crazy or something. I’d get the upside down view anytime I looked at the extreme edge of up/left/right limits.
