BitMaster Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I had numerous boards some time back, Z97 mostly, that had severe problems with Asus AntiSurge activated in Bios. If you use a APC unit, you can just turn it OFF and rely on the APC protection. Same goes with "EuP Ready", just dont touch it, causes many problems. those are my findings and experiences * yeah, just see your CPU specs, Z97 era, that might fit like a fist on an eye, turn it off and see if it happens again, also EuP to OFF, if that is also enabled ( usually it is OFF by default ) Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus XG27ACG QHD 180Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X

BitMaster Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 From my own experience, it is your SurgeProtection being far too sensitive. It shuts your PSU OFF whenever it thinks it needs to, and it is often wrong with that, resulting in a sudden OFF out of the blue. If you have a not-so-nice electric wiring or energy provider, it even gets worse and more often. I really think it is that feature, time will tell.
