Problems with Comns, Simple Radio and AI ATC

Hello everybody,

so im a roockie so sorry if i dont have the right names for all items. I will do my best.

So my problem is that i cant communicate with others.

So on startup i turn on battery.

Then i move the BRT on the UFC a littke bit to activate it and also move both Vol-Switches on Comm1 and Comm2 a little bit until i see an M in the Channel Field.

In my opinion i should now be able to communicate with the tower for permission to engine start.

But when i press the Comm select switches there is no communication menü like i get in the A10C. I use the switches

COMM FWD: Select COMM1: LCtrl+NUM-

COMM AFT: Select COMM2: LCtrl+NUM+

I dont understand what i do wrong? I dont get a menu. Not for Comm1 and also not for Comm2.

Also after finish startup i cant communicate. :(

Also in my wing we use Simpleradio. I can join the simpleradio server, but the simpleradio is not synchronized with the harrier. So when i turn the channel selection switch for comm1 or comm2 and press it, nothing happen in simple radio.

I hope someone could help me. :)

The radios have very limited functionality at the moment.

Use only Comm 1 radio, presets only, and presets from Radio 2 list in the Mission editor.

Use the default comms menu key.

Sorry for stupid question, what is the default comm menu key? I only see the 2 keys i postet here.

Is this \ you have to use that on simple radio AFAIK

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

Yep, that's the one. At least for normal comms with AI, I never used Simple Radio so I don't know how it works.
