Pilotasso Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Lately whenever I pitch full forward, without roll, my stick gets a ghost deadzone at the edges of the movement. The pic below shows what hapens when I set full forward pitch. A parazitic rudder imput is verified and it twiches on and off several times per second. Then the black cross will never reach the edges of the test window anymore as I move the stick arround, i.e. it is if like It doesnt detect maximum deflection and I will get a much slower manueverability ingame. I opened the stick and discovered the problem might be the hall sensor associated with pitch, because if I swich their plugs on the circuit board (efectively changing the axis'es) its the roll that gets the very same symptom. Has anyone came across this problem? is there an easy way to fix it? .
SuperKungFu Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 how old is your X-52? because this is not normal, i would return it and get a new one. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pilotasso Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 its 18 months old, IF I refrain from pitching fully forward the problem wont manifest itself .
SuperKungFu Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 if its 18 months then i believe you are still within the 2 year warranty? I say contact saitek and get it replaced. As a customer, you deserve this right. Don't wait around a say "i rarely push the stick foward fully so i can like with it" and ingore it, IMHO, get a replacement. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pilotasso Posted February 1, 2007 Author Posted February 1, 2007 well, theres a small snag...It was bought in the US and brought by my brother, therefore I cannot just return it in to the shop... :S .
SuperKungFu Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 i don't think you could return it to the shop anyway because most shops only have 30 day warranty, i was referring to actually get in contact with saitek and ask them to send a new one after you confirmed everything. And then you send your old one back, but i think you may have to pay shipping. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
