I currently have a 55" sony XBR55X810C 4K just for DCS. It is not HDR. For DCS how big of a difference would HDR be? Is it worth upgrading to HDR? Thanks

Not much but for simming watch for the motion blur as low as possible. You will find it useful when flying low or when zoom to ID a plane. Most "gaming" review for TV cater more for FPS genre then simming and the motion blur or response time acceptable range seem to be on the high side and it is noticeable especially on a TV that size. I am not sure if you sim on a big tv before but you are in for a treat and the immersion will be great

Here a good website for review that TV.

Overall I think it's a good TV but you should notice a bit of blur. If you can wait or have the budget go for OLED where motion blur is none existent.

DCS doesn’t support HDR (HDR lighting isn’t the same thing) so upgrading to a display that has it at the moment would be of no benefit.

Decibel dB, bought the TV two years ago based on rtings review. Had a blast with the A-10C. Have not used the Simm for over a year and now with DSC 2.5 on the way, was just wondering if the new HDR TV's would be better. Thanks for your input

Eddie, that is exactly the answer I was looking for. Thank you Sir

People should note that if they do use TVs like a 4K one to change their picture mode to Game. It cuts out all that post-process effects and reduces the response time significantly.
