p_o_d_2_2 Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Not sure about this, as I have just recently figured out keeping my plane headed in the right general direction. Is it better to fly lower than your target so he can't notch (I think that's the term) you or is it better to fly higher so you have longer range? I realize that tactics may change depending on the situation, but is there a general rule?
Woodstock Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Depends on the situation and a lot of factors, of course... But why not combine both? Go high and fast for the launch, then drop down below your target to keep the lock. Give it a try! "For aviators like us, the sky is not the limit - it's our home!"
Cosmonaut Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I shoot higher or level with the bandit then get lower, maybe 1000m to 2000m below the target. This will increase your chances of maintaining a lock until your missile goes active or hits the target. Cozmo. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Minimum effort, maximum satisfaction.
