Hi Guys,

Tryed searching the forums first, but couldn't find the solution.

Besides, i can use some posts behind my name :-)

Just recently starting with my new Rift flying DCS. After watching all the tutorials, youtube's and tips on the forum.

Flying missions SP is pretty decent. But not that mindblowing.

When trying multiplayer, the starting screen is lagging as hell. Almost un-do-able to select a plane and start the mission.

When i managed to do so, it is allright.

I have a very recent machine with above average specs ( i believe ) but the GPU seems to be needing an upgrade. Should that fix the starting screen issues on multiplayer ? Or does everybody has this issues ?

Specs are:

Intel i5-7600K non OC

16GB RAM

Gigabyte GTX 1060 6G

DCS is running on an SSD, so is Windows 10

Any tips are welcome ;-)

Rainbow

I logged in to 1.5.8 in multiplayer the other day. Yes, I had same lag. I really don't know if it a wait and let it settle issue... I have not been playing multiplayer with VR but I decided to log in and check it out. I logged in to 104th cause the ping was low for me. After a little bit the lag went away I was able to select and fly. I pressed the fly button more then once before it responded. I personally am not giving it any thought till 2.5 comes out just for the fact they will all resources to one game version not 3.

I have a similar set-up, with an i7 6700 K. I don't have any issues at all with multiplayer frame rates. There is something amiss with your set up I suspect, and you can obtain a far better online performance than that.

There is a workaround for this. When you connect to a MP server, as soon as you see the list of available aircraft slots, hit the exit button. When you’re back at the main menu, rejoin the same server again. This makes the menu responsive and improves frame rates.
