Gadnief Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Yesterday i updated my pc with a new mainboard, RAM and GPU. My specs are: GTX 1070, i7-8700k and 16GB RAM. Everything works fine with the oculus rift on DCS 2.2 on the first flight. When i select a different mission it starts a bit to stutter. When i close DCS the stuttering remains in the oculus home enviroment until i restart it. After that i can start DCS but it closes instantly where it should start to show the menu. It shows no error message.
Cibit Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 It has happened to me before and then it does not happen. Random if you like. You could try changing Oculus shortcut to run as administrator which stops the software starting when you run DCS. Saves on CPU cycles. Also stop any mobo software like AI suite running. That causes a regular drop in FPS which is constant until I stop AI suite and Ccleaner running in the task tray i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
Gadnief Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 (edited) Thanks for the help! Will try that later at home. A restart of DCS wouldn’t been such a big problem. But it’s strange that I can’t restart before I restart the whole pc. I recognized that 1.5.8 has the same problem now for me. So seems to be s.th. with the oculus rift.
