So i see three ways of placing a downloaded mission.

1. The mission folder in Saved Games\DCS World...

2. In your respective DCS Install folder in DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\A-10C\Missions\

3. OvGME-ing a seperately setup folder to either of these locations.

Solution one hast he problem that it does not display the respective mission for the correct aircraft ingame (they show up under the general header My Missions), but you can make folders with the correct names.

With solution two, missions show up for the correct aircraft ingame, but they are affected by the 'cleanup' cmd command.

Solution three, mirroring solutions two folder structure to present it to the game via OvGME or such enables you to ''pull'' all your custom missions out before you clean up your installation.

BUT: did i miss any other vanilla mission folder where i 1: see missions for the correct aircraft in game and not only in the general 'My Missions' folder that is not affected by the 'cleanup' command?

I dont know any other way .. I did try to create, within saved games\dcs\missions\, folders with the names of the aircraft Mods to see if the game would "merge" them with the builtin ones, like it does for the Liveries, but no such luck.

So, currently I'm using your option (1) .. but to make it easier to locate a misión, I have the Missions folder divided by Map, within that I divided on Multiplayer & Single player and the SP is further divided by aircraft, like this:

Since the MP missions are usually for several different types of aircraft, I dont further class them by aircraft type.

On the missions folder at saved games, the "Campaigns" folder is a special name and it´s recognized by the game .. those option appear on the Campaigns menú of DCS:

With this folder structure, when I direct the game to look at "My Missions", it first shows the Maps:

If I select for example, Caucasus it allows me to select a MP or SP mision:

Then I can select the aircraft I'm interested in:

For example, if I select the Viggen I get this:

This file organization has so far worked well for me, tough I believe it would be best if DCS were able to merge my SP missions by type, like it does with the Liveries.

Best regards

Thats a neat setup and organization i msut say. Especially your comprehensive and picturesque answer is much appreciated. Until now i have set it up like you have, albeit only differentiating among aircraft. I think i will try that OvGME setup i mentioned as solution three. See how this goes.

Thx again.
