I have (like most of us for sure) mission downloaded from lockonfiles.com and campain mods etc. Those missions have, for example, options that I would like to change, but the mission has to be declassified to do it

Can you, Tomas, post the password to do it?

You don't need him to. When you're in the campaign, on the editor screen, just hold the Ctrl and Shift key down and press C. You'll then get a window asking you to set a password. Type the password you want it to be on the first line in that window, then the same password again on the second line. Click the "OK" button, and you're all set. :D

Most have the password mentioned in a ReadMe file or maybe on the briefing screen. But if not, then as my good buddy IguanaKing says - use the keyboard to overwrite the password with a new one,

Ctrl/shift/C and put in your own password eg 1234

Ctrl/shift/D 1234

Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....

There is a bug, where if you leave a mission de-classified a click can make units re-deploy in a cluster, so be careful when you change or move units to make all of the visible before doing anything, usually, this happens to the first few units on the list.

A nice trick to avoid this is to place a single unit group with the name "A" somewhere on the map for every country before creating your mission. Like a single Hummer for the USA and a single UAZ for Russia etc. This way when you do something that would normaly redeploy your first group, it will actualy "redeploy" your dummy Hummer. Very usefull while building missions ( that bug drove me crazy before... ).

Sometimes the Declassify Menu item is disabled, does Ctrl+Shift+C still work in those cases?

I always used the menu and found that if I move the campaign .cmp file out of the campaign folder, then open it in the mission editor, the Declassify menu is not disabled.

Yup...sure does. You can also hit Ctrl-Shift-D to declassify a mission, even if the menu item is greyed out. Its a nice little bypass. :D
