Avalon151 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Hello, I´m relatively new to Lock On and I have just a short question: Is there any possibility to drop single bombs when they are mounted on Russian airplanes, and not only pairs?
britgliderpilot Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Hello, I´m relatively new to Lock On and I have just a short question: Is there any possibility to drop single bombs when they are mounted on Russian airplanes, and not only pairs? Yes - you load the aircraft asymmetrically, so that the pairs of pylons have different types of bombs on. Otherwise, no, you're forced to drop in pairs. You can drop individual weapons from the Su25T inner pylons in Flaming Cliffs, too. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Aeroscout Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Oww, too bad,; that's a waste. will that be fixed in BS? DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
GGTharos Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 This isn't necessarily a problem with FC. Real aircraft WILL drop in pairs (or ripple) to avoid asymmetric loading. It's by no means a 'waste', at least not in the real worlds where bombs are NOT super-accurate, will NOT be dropped from low altitudes (most of the time) and might NOT detonate. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Kuky Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 A-10 and Su-25 (not the T version) can drop bombs in single mode on any pylon... use "ripple interval" to set what mode you want... the knob is located in front pannel, lower left side... In Su-25 and A-10 it's set to single by default..but to actually have it drop in singles, you need to toggle it through to single again. AFAIK, real Western aircraft are able to drop singles. Not sure how they go about handling the unbalanced load...maybe a function of the trim system. The Eastern aircraft usually have an interlock that forces simultaneous release from two opposite stations. I was looking at schematics for the armament control system on a MiG-15 just the other day from a MiG-15 project a friend of mine is working on in Idaho. Quite different from Western stuff, but the design is pretty clever. :)

Aeroscout Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 me three. (Oh, ya, i can't! lol) There are nobs in the Su-33 cockpit that look similar the the Su-15Ts. (this is In lockon, not RL) that would suggest defferent release intervils and quantities. Is that the case, or are those for something else.
