Hey,

I'm playing 2.5OB and I noticed that when you rotate your head while looking at a fixed point, i.e. tilt it from side to side like a dog:

...the clouds also rotate at the same time.

It's most noticeable when stationary on the ground, looking up at the nearby clouds.

I'm using deferred shading, and can give any other settings as necessary.

Thanks!

They've always done this. The "Big Smoke" effects also do it, so when you rotate your head it looks like a tornado on the ground.

It'll prob be better as they improve the clouds

they have done a good job at hiding the rotation as you look around horizontally.

its much better than 1.5

so i can live with a bit of roll.

Yeah... The effect really ain't there yet to come. Seems that they use same engine for smoke as they do for clouds (dah!) and there is no lock for axis roll.

Little VR trouble with those clouds as you can get slightly sick for that.

i personally havent expereienced this in 2.5, in the old 1.5.8 it used to happen. Flying with the squad last night someone mentioned this and i twisted my head and the clouds didn't rotate for me, maybe something to do with the could settings?

It is also well known that the clouds in 2.5 are currently just a slightly updated version of the old 1.5 clouds. They're working on a completely new system, so what you see isn't what you get.
