Labels for towns on F10 map?

Is there a way of showing labels for town names on the F10 map like the airfield ones?

At the moment, I have to zoom in a huge amount to find town names.

Looks like a wishlist thing, could be interesting, but should be considered as a cheat/simplification.

It's not a cheat at all - unless you consider the F10 map to be a cheat! Have you ever looked at a map in real life that doesn't show place names?

The names are there, it's just that a huge amount of zooming in has to be done to see them.

I'm sure it was not like this in 1.5.8 F10 maps.

There is the "Map" layer in the F10 map. Unlike the Alt and Sat layers it shouldn't require much zooming in. I believe it's a real aviation navigation map from the area. It seems a little glitchy right now, like some chunks are missing, but mostly fine.

 

Also, the Alt F10 map is much improved in 2.5, as I used to have to zoom way in just to see the outlines of half the towns on the map. It used to be way harder to visually navigate.

Thanks for that. Yes, using 'Map' is great. It has 3 levels of detail when zooming in.

Oops yeah, I think I mistaken it with flight view labels.

 

Well, all labels are cheats already anyway hmm.
