Inspired by all the really talented people in this thread, I have started to tinker around by making my first button box. It's based on a cheapo joystick circuit board from eBay, a few switches and a bit of MDF, with some help from a guy at work who did the laser cutting from my design. It's all just bare bones testing stage at the moment, and all the labels are just random text that means nothing, but I just wanted to join the fun and also say thank you for the inspiration.

The idea is that the final box will be black with white text, but I wanted to make sure everything fits in the space it's designed for first.

You are off to a good start Sir. I am sorry to say but you may just get bidden by the cockpit building bug

What do you intend to use for interface with DCS?

Cheers

Hans

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I had a vague idea to use it to do the start up sequence for the F-18 among other things. It's only a few steps so I thought it might work as a series of button presses. Other than that I'll figure out something to assign it to.
