LaLa Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 I haven't purchased the new Nevada map yet, but was wondering if the in-plane TAD displays were as good as Google Maps? The Caucasus maps are pretty poor. Is it possible to update the in-plane map TAD display of the Caucasus relatively easily? By relatively easily I presume several copies at variable zooms would be required?
Wrench Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 They're maybe a bit better, but you have to remember they're for AIRNAV, not LANDNAV. Here's an example, Las Vegas. And some more: https://imgur.com/a/nQqBY Carrier Script.
Wrench Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 As for modifying you're own, if you look at the picture files, (I forget where they are, but if you poke around in the folders in your install directory you'll find them) It would be a lot of work. Carrier Script.

And some more: https://imgur.com/a/nQqBY Thanks a lot wrench, your pictures seem to show about the same level of detail as the current Caucasus maps in the TAD... too bad I had hope for better resolution, at least as good as Skyvector's VFR charts. Thanx again for your submission.
