JG54_NF2 Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 (edited) 1:BUG Report In the 2.5 version, when the HUD mode is DAY, the effect of using the night vision observation is appropriate, BUT when the HUD mode is NIGHT, the night vision observation can cause the font exposure. This is exactly the opposite of version 1.58. I think HUD night mode should be able to match night vision and not the effect of exposure. HUD mode is Night is exposure HUD mode is DAY is normal 2:Recommend of NVG effect 1)Night vision field of view is too small, very uncomfortable. Although the binocular night vision imaging effect is indeed a circular, but compared to monocular night vision field of view is still greater. I suggest that the current scope of the effect and then appropriate to enlarge, will be more appropriate. Real binocular night vision, because both eyes are obscured by the eyepiece, can not see so many lenses outside the field of vision. In addition, when using the zoom feature, the night-vision camera's lens should be scaled rather than fixed. Recommended size of NVG 2)Focus problem of NVG:The 2.5ob of the night vision observation cockpit instrument is very vague. Real night vision is the automatic or manual focus function. There is not such a blur near, I hope to make changes. Real PVS-14 night vision to see near objects (road of the foot), the texture is clearly visible In now game's by 2.5ob is very blurry. Destroyer37 Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 ANVIS-9's properly modeled with binocular imaging tube's would be more appropriate. I'm fairly unhappy with the state of the NVG's in 2.5ob. Something else to consider when wearing NVG's you wear them quite close to your eye. Thus eliminating some of the outside images we see currently in DCS. (like ARMA3 ACE3 NVG's)
Zarma Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 Dont have this problem in VR as the NVG cover the whole FOV. But I guess the fact that the cockpit is blurry is because the NVG focus is set to infinte. i9 9900k, 64 Go RAM, RTX 4090, Warthog HOTAS Throttle & Stick, Virpil AH64 collective, TPR rudder, MFD Cougar, Trackir 5 Pro, Multipurpose UFC, Alain Dufour's TEDAC and Oculus Rift S (when I want some VR), http://www.twitch.tv/zarma4074 / https://www.youtube.com/user/Zarma4074
Eagle_Rising Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 (edited) A-10C NVG effect error report and recommendations by 2.5ob The cockpit is blurry in real life anvis-6 (army’s version of anvis-9) does not have auto focus if you want to look inside the cockpit you have to look under the NVGs Also haven’t tried out NVGs in 2.5 yet but if they do have the smaller ring in should work better with VR that is if it is similar to Frenchy’s mod. Again I haven’t tested it out yet but have they finally created an automatic brightness control I didn’t think it was very realistic having to set your own brightness.
