So the other day i decided to install an older driver for mine x850xt (from cd ati cd). So when i started LO i got this; check the first screen shot It looked like this-->

attachment.php?attachmentid=10011&d=1172400280

Okay so i thought that it was a driver fault, so i installed the latest driver from ati 7.x. But nothing changed :noexpression:

So i thought that it just was LO but when i started counter-strike it was the same;check the second screen shot

attachment.php?attachmentid=10012&d=1172402734

Here are the settings in Catalyst control center:

AA: Let the application decide

AF: Let the application decide

Catalyst A.I. : Standard

Mipmap Detail level: High Quality

Truform: Always off

Wait for vertical refresh: Off, unless application specifes

Any idea what's wrong or if you know how to solve it plz post back :(

What's this "trueform" setting you have in catalyst drivers???? I have an ATI card as well but there's no such settings in CCC?!

I'm not really that familar with ATI.. I've been useing nvidia, but I know that there's a program called R.I.P. that I use to delete any artifacts that are left over from a previuosly installed driver...

sorry Janko but I don't have a clue why you're getting such bad artifacts... if you only reinstalled the drivers then I think it would have to be the drivr issue, maybe just a corrupted installation... did you use ATI's uninstaller to uninstal the previous driver completely... I also use CCleaner utility to clean the registry after I uninstal the drivers. Other than that I really don't know why you're getting this. Have you tried turning this trueform ON?

Glad you got that sorted out. I also had bit of drama with my PC yesterday as the CCC wouldn't load at all. I tried all kinds of things including reinstalling drivers, directx, SP2, etc etc... all to no luck. In the end I reinstalled the damn windows and it's working fine now. I think I had some corrupted or missing system files or something os that sort.
