is there another way apart from the torrent, which should be the quickest but I only get about 20 peers, so its sooo slow

I don't know if you are done downloading yet, but I THINK if you press "cancel" while torrenting you get a pop-up asking if you like to continue with normal download. At least that is how it works when updating.
