Buzzles Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 I'd quite like to see some of the Russian WWII prop planes make their way into DCS. Considering our current crop of ~1944 aircraft, out of the Yak aircraft the later Yak-9's and the Yak-3 fit the bill. The Yak-9's have the honour of being the most produced Russian fighter (16,000+) and out of them, the Yak-9U is probably the most obvious choice due to being a late 1944 model. Also bonus factor here is that the Yak-9 served with DPRK in the Korean War. Yak-3 being the definitive version of the Yak-1 train, being lighter and smaller than the -9, is another good choice. Kev2go Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 yea I myself had suggested such aircraft before. Would certainly like to see Some late ww2 russian birds given we already have US/ UK/Germany represented in some fashion evne if there is no dedicated ww2 era theater for it.
