rage Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 All, Was wondering how you determine which # waypoint you are on in the 25. the A-10 provides this in the HUD, and in the 27, i just check the HDD. Its quite confusing knowing which one you are on in the 25. The closest i can guage is by checking distance to waypoints. this i find to be a pita as when cycling through its easy to become disoriented especially on a mission with many waypoints. TIA
Prophet Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Ah yes, the Su25 vanilla is quite old school. I know of no way besides knowing the flight plan ahead of time, and like you have said referencing distance given.
VapoR Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 More reliable than checking the distance to the waypoints would be to check the assigned course--this will NOT change. Keep in mind that the real Su-25 can only hold up to 4 waypoints (I believe I heard that somewhere) so a good mission designer will keep it simple. Alternately, you can cycle through nav modes until you get back to the route mode, then it will automatically go to waypoint one. Then just count them out from there.
