Guest bobo1234 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Hi guys, First time poster, long time reader. I recently assembled my new system, a Core2 Duo 6600 with a 680i mobo and EVGA 8800GTX KO video card. Of course there were starforce problems but the new patch from www.star-force.com fixed that, no biggie (FYI the original SF activation will kill Vista 64 entirely, so patch right away). But now that the game is running great at 1680 x 1050 32-bit, I'm getting texture bugs with clouds, heat ripple, and some models. The clouds look like the individual sprites are not blending together, making them a bunch of blue-ringed balls floating around. The heat blur is gone altogether, and some models are missing dark textures, such as cockpit interiors and exhaust cones. Does anybody know a fix for this? I'm running the latest drivers, could it be that LOMAC is just too old? Please say no, I love this game. GT, Toronto Canada

I think that your most likley one of the first guys to run Lock On with all of the latest tech advances..:D What drivers are you useing anyway.. You might try to uninstall the drivers use a driver cleaner and reinstall them again... I'd say do a clean install of Lock On as well, but seeing how much trouble I 've been haveing myself it might not be a good idea... ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
TorwaK Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Hi people, I've the same specified computer and operating system like bobo1234. When I run the game medium setting. Screen look like that. I use Nvidia Vista 64bit 100.65 drivers with 1680*1050 resulotion. By the way with high settings there is no problem like that and it works like charm.:pilotfly: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core i7-6700K, @5GHz | Asus Maximus Hero VIII | 2 x eVGA GTX 970 SLI | Kingston Predator 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz | 2 x Samsung 850 PRO 240GB RAID-0 | AOC G2460PG G-SYNC LCD | OCULUS RIFT CV1 VR | THRUSTMASTER HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO PEDALS
Storm.i Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Why not have everything on high then? Your rig isn't the problem ;)
stefostef Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 First of all you should change your aspect ratio in your config folder, open your graphic ini and use those settings resolution = {1680, 1050}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 1.66666676; Interface { resolution = {1680, 1050}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 1.66666676; } Simulation { resolution = {1680, 1050}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 1.66666676; Second you must use the beta forceware 101.41 for vista 64

Rhino104 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 TorwaK, I had the same problem, all I can say is A. Get an ATi card, or B. Go back to XP. Thats really the only options you have to fix that.

Rhen Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Then you're missing out on having your textures reappear. ViperVJG73 is spot on. 101.41 does indeed correct these problems.
