Game crash in multiplayer

is this crash happening while trying to load into a server or do you actually make it into the server and cockpit?

 

If this is during a load give yourself 5 minutes for the server to load the first time

 

It maybe worth doing a cleanup and repair to makes sure no files are corrupted or modified

Hi Big, thanks for the reply. This happening most time after few minutes airborne, be advise that it is always happening, it start with little frame freeze and then eventually launcher crash. I haven't been able to come back and land since 2.5

This is already my 2nd fresh install

delete your fxo and metashaders folder

 

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta

 

restart DCS and try again, bare in mind it will take much longer the first time as it is creating new shaders

 

We will hopefully have a new patch soon and more memory and optimisations, we can retest to see if it helps.

That seem to have fixed the crash Bignewy, I still have some frame freeze but no more then fraction of seconds and no more launcher crash so far.

No, but some do it after each update as it seems to help.

 

There could be another reason for the freeze, however in multiplayer it is a bit of a needle in a hay stack to find the cause.

 

Do you see anything in the dcs.log, in game or anything in the windows event viewer that would point to a cause?

You lost me there Big, what I can say is that during scissor fight on multiplayer (ACG) the game froze for like 5 seconds, then I heard my plane crash. The game didn't just my plane. I could have re spawn after.

don't worry, we are trying to reproduce these freezes in MP but it is a difficult task sometimes.

Last night at around 2000 GMT, after the major freeze I exited the game, it should be easy to locate.

Hi Bignewy, I just want to update you that after recommendation on this forum, I've upgraded to 32GB and a fresh window 10, it did not change a thing :(

 

 

I still have big hiccups
