Hi guys!

 

I’m looking a mission wish list for the for 2.5 build. I intend to delve into the more complicated mission making side of the game. I will be placing the final builds in the DCS user file area.

 

Looking to see what people want!! I’m EX Services so have a bit of background knowledge on procedures etc! I’m sick of the boring basic missions available and want to create something more immersive and current! I’m game to do modern and WW2. I have a basic mission up on User Files “Operation Fury SP”. It’s only the tip of the iceberg playing with some interesting concepts.

 

Tell me what you want and I’ll put the work in!!

Well, I'm certainly not a very knowledgeable person when it comes to the procedures of a real-life combat mission. One thing I've always found that I didn't enjoy about DCS was that missions were one and done. I've always wanted to take my hog up on a mission with no real goal. Just that there's a war going on and you're available for tasking. I want to be there for a while. get called in for support of a convoy or something and then return to my loiter. I want to have to hit the tanker a time or two before I'm done with my sortie and return to the airbase.

Hi IL2000, nice to see the enthusiasm for some serious ME building.

 

Not wishing to be negative, but as things stand 2.5 is not a lot of fun to use for mission-building as it's still in beta.

some of us in the 159th GAR have got stuck into the ME and built biggish missions, but keep running into issues. With each update released we have found some things fixed but then other things get broken.

Might be best to start work but not get too complex until it's all (hopefully) fully sorted, otherwise it can be extremely frustrating (speaking from too much experience!).

 

Hopefully we'll have it right before much longer.

 

As for mission ideas, we have tried to push the helo troop/sling-load thing along as that would be brilliant to have in mission and supported by fast-movers. Great fun to be had there.

I got ideas for training missions based on rl helo training program but I’m not sure if you’ll be able to do it with the current ai system. If your interested I’ll send you the script of the first pre mission which is a skills test.
