Trouble getting maverick to lockon to ground target

Have a new Thrustmaster T16000 and cannot figure out how to set up maverick keys to lock on to a ground target. What do I look for in the Weapons control panel? Anything, Thx, MIke

This is for the A-10A?

Target designator up/down/left/right to slew the seeker. It will attempt to lock automatically once you finish moving the sensor. You can also use the manual target lock key. All of these items are found in the "sensors" section of the controls menu.
