I'm having trouble with the trim control on my Thrustmaster Warthog FCS. I can't get the trim just right in DCS F-5. Either it's too much or too little. Does anyone have the Warthog and experienced this problem?

Not really. It takes a combo of trim and power to achieve what you desire just like in a real aircraft.

I'm a real-world pilot of 35 years. Iknow that. I'm having trouble with my Warthog & trim control.

I dont have the F-5, so I cant replicate. From your description the DCS trim steps are too large?

The Target Script command "TrimDXAxis" is probably your friend here, you can set trim outside of DCS to whatever granular value you like.

I had problems with my roll trim being too coarse, so i changed to trim the X axis of my WH in target script editor.

Pitch trim ingame is fine, most of the times it will trim to handsfree.

Make sure you have all deadzones turned off, including the hardware deadzone in target GUI, and have a small curve on your Y axis. That way small stick corrections is easier, and trim less of a problem.

Is it way off for you, or just a little?
