madeiner Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Hi, i don't know if there's a problem with my installation or soundcard, but i hear a "wind" sound in the mirage cockpit. The sound goes away when looking left or right, and makes the aircraft so much "calmer" that way, that i sometimes just lock the camera to a side to have my ears cool down :p The sound seems to abruptly start or stop at a certain head position range, it's not smooth. Does it happen to everyone else? Is there a way to remove this sound? I really like how quiet it is when looking left or right

Frederf Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Perhaps an issue with 5.1 versus stereo? I've seen people have problems with games that do weird things when you turn your head because it's trying to deliver surround sound but your sound device is only stereo. When sound is trying to be delivered to normal channels you hear it but if you turn so sound is sent to surround channels you don't because you don't have those speakers connected.
Skitter Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 I remember it was same with the engine sound on the ground. Not sure if it's still like that. Haven't flown in a while.
