ChuckIV Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 (edited) I have an intermittent problem that I have no idea how to fix. Maybe some of you pilots have had the same thing happen. While in a SP mission, I ask my flight to engage bandits. They do engage the bandits after saying "2 engaging bandits, 3 engaging bandits". The only problem is that once they start chattering this message, it NEVER STOPS. They will repeat "engaging bandits" until I land and end mission. Anyone else have this bug? Were you able to fix it? Let me know, thanks thanks! ChuckIV ****** I may have stumbled across the problem. I'm noticing it's when I ask my group or wingman to "Cover me!", they say, "Engaging bandits" repeatedly until the mission is complete regardless if there are any enemy planes in the sky. I will confirm soon. ******* Edited April 30, 2018 by ChuckIV "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." Aluminum Donkey Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I have an intermittent problem that I have no idea how to fix. Maybe some of you pilots have had the same thing happen. While in a SP mission, I ask my flight to engage bandits. They do engage the bandits after saying "2 engaging bandits, 3 engaging bandits". The only problem is that once they start chattering this message, it NEVER STOPS. Same thing happens to me, and I'm pretty sure everyone else is plagued with the same annoying problem. I don't even ask my wingmen to engage--I have this mission where I start airborne with my 3 dudes and a huge gaggle of enemies all lined up for a massive furball. I keep hearing "X, engaging bandit" continuously, it never ends throughout the whole mission until all the enemies are down. So, when it happens, I just turn off the radio:) Top button on the radio switch box on your left. A bit of a hack, but at least you can fly without them driving you bananas, and when there's a huge fight going on, what happens happens--you don't need to hear every detail over the radio :) AD Kit: B550 Aorus Elite AX V2, Ryzen 7 5800X w/ Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE, 2 x 16GB Kingston Fury DDR4 @3600MHz C16, Asus ROG Strix RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, EVGA SuperNova 750 G2 PSU, HP Omen 32" 2560x1440, Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS fitted with Leo Bodnar's BU0836A controller. --Aviation is the art of throwing yourself at the ground, and having all the rules and regulations get in the way! Helles Belle Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Does asking the wingman to “cover me” get the same repetitive result? I’ve found instead of watching my tail they just go and shoot everything down with this command. Same result maybe without the annoying repeats. I'm pretty sure the radio comms in DCS (and the way wingdudes respond to them) have always been a little rough around the edges :) AD Kit: B550 Aorus Elite AX V2, Ryzen 7 5800X w/ Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE, 2 x 16GB Kingston Fury DDR4 @3600MHz C16, Asus ROG Strix RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, EVGA SuperNova 750 G2 PSU, HP Omen 32" 2560x1440, Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS fitted with Leo Bodnar's BU0836A controller. --Aviation is the art of throwing yourself at the ground, and having all the rules and regulations get in the way! Instead he goes off and shoots down any and all threats leaving nothing for me. Send lawyers, guns and money......... for the …. has hit the fan.
